North Country Appaloosa Club
NCAC Activities
The North Country Appaloosa Club puts on two shows a year. Our first show is an open WSCA / CMHIA show held at Verndale Trail Riders Arena on June 13, 2009. Go North of Verndale on CR23 then east on CR 4. The arena is on the north side of CR 4. Coming form the East, you would go North on the Nimrod Road also CR 26, then go West on CR 4. The arena is on the North side of the road. If you want to get points for Western Saddle Club Association, you can join our club. All members are automatically part of the WSCA program. For points to count in Central Minnesota Horse Improvement Association, you need to be an inidividual member of that club. CMHIA is added a few more classes this year for novice and walk-trot.
The second show was a pointed Appaloosa Breed Show. It was held on July 18th and 19th at R&J Arena in Verndale. The next meeting for the NCAP Club will be held in September. Location and time to be announced later.

Club Member Activity
If you have any suggestions on the shows or activities for Minnesota for 2010, either contact the webmaster or NCAC club president DelRay Johnson.
Another New Addition!
Jolene Swarts competed at the Sauk Center Appaloosa show and besided doing extremely well in her classes, was awarded reserve grand champion stallion with her yearling stallion, Cooler.
Mounted Possee Feed Fundraiser
Judy Johnson was head of the Sheriff's Mounted Posse feed fundraiser this year. As usual, we had plenty of help cutting up vegetables and cooking. One thing that is really nice about volunteering is we finally get to talk to each other. At the shows and meetings, there is too much else going on to have time to get to know each other. This fund raiser is the largest one we have for the year, so we would like to thank all members and also a member of the posse group, Gail, for helping out and making it so successful. We still need more advertisers for our show book, so keep on selling ads and looking for sponsors!
