This is the official site for the Appaloosa Horse.  Here you will find information about our wonderful breed.  If you have questions on characteristics, registration or programs, this is the place to see.                                           

The Appaloosa Reining Horse Association is dedicated to the promotion of the Appaloosa reining horse, it’s breeders, owners, and riders. Through our organization, we offer incentives to encourage the growth and popularity of Appaloosa reining in open and breed competition.

1. Center of the Nation Appaloosa Horse Club, www.conappclub.con Formed in Rapid City, South Dakota on September 24, 1960. Covers South Dakota and surrounding areas.

The Appaloosa Youth Association was established to emphasize good horsemanship through proper methods of training both horse and rider; to provide recognition for young people who own or show Appaloosas; to promote ideals of citizenship, sportsmanship, showmanship, and leadership, and to promote capabilities of youth in breeding, raising, and competing on Appaloosas.

This Association was established in 1955.  Now it has over 250 clubs and 17,000 individual members.  The web site lists dates of shows, rodeos, tack sales, clinics.  The North Country Appaloosa Club is a member.

Competitive Mounted Orienteering (CMO) is one of the most challenging and exciting equestrian sports - for the competitive as well as family horse rider! CMO is like a mounted treasure hunt, which tests your horsemanship, your map reading ability, and your compass skills - all while having great fun with your horse!

A 501c(3) non-profit membership and volunteer-run organization based in Minnesota and serving more than 800 members across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North and South Dakota.

The Appaloosa Horse Club of Canada is proud to be recognized by the Government of Canada through incorporation under the Animal Pedigree Act. Incorporation means the ApHCC has met requirements for establishment of rules of procedure, membership, public representation of Appaloosa horses, definition of purebred, and more.
Minnesota Horse Council has evolved to be an umbrella organization uniting and supporting all statewide equine activites.  They put on the well-attended Horse Expo at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds every Spring.
